Daudi Matsiko is a British-Ugandan singer-songwriter whose debut album The King Of Misery takes listeners on a poignant and poetic journey through themes such as depression, bipolar disorder, and finding hope in darkness. His fragile yet powerful voice, haunting lyrics, and modern folk sound leave a deep impression. 

The subtle, melancholic guitar parts evoke Nick Drake, but are given a fresh twist through contemporary percussion and instrumentation. Matsiko’s vocals resonate precisely because of their vulnerability – each track feels like a personal confession that cuts straight to the heart.
