Gabriel Rios is back! After his sold-out concert in AB at the beginning of the year, the most Belgian of Puerto Rican singer-songwriters is coming to De Roma this fall.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Gabriel Rios moved to Belgium at the age of 17 where he explored the world of painting at the Luca School of Arts in Ghent. However, he very quickly discovered that his passion for creativity was not limited to the canvas. Thanks to some musical personalities such as Jo Bogaert (known from Technotronic), the jazz pianist Jef Neve, Kobe Proesmans (from The Colorist Orchestra) and the versatile multi-instrumentalist/producer Ruben Samama, with the same ideas as him, Gabriel Rios has an impressive string of eclectic albums under his belt. His musical journey has taken him from authentic Latin/pop crooner (Ghostboy album) to introspective singer-songwriter of This Marauder's Midnight. With his latest album, Flore, he ventured to reinvent old Latin classics.
Spanish is also the core of his latest album, but this time without covers. Gabriel Rios brings songs deeply rooted in his artistic soul. An artist who constantly innovates and manages to delight his audience again and again with his unique sound. Get ready for a stunning fall evening at De Roma.
