In every show, the Australian circus theatre company Gravity & Other Myths pushes the boundaries of what is physically possible – and impossible. With their latest show, The Mirror, they once again live up to their reputation as one of the world’s finest circus companies.
Human towers burst apart, and the acrobats fly back and forth at breakneck speed. They play with appearances and reality, with illusions and expectations – both of each other and of the audience. Using cameras, selfie sticks and video footage, they poke fun at vanity and posturing. Do you see who you want to be, or who you really are?
The Mirror is performed by eight acrobats and directed by Darcy Grant and Jascha Boyce. A singer performs live pop medleys by composer Ekrem Eli Phoenix.
