Ichiko Aoba has the musical power to take her listeners on a journey far from reality and their immediate environment. The Japanese singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist started at the age of 19 with intimate songs centered around her voice and acoustic guitar playing. Throughout her career, the musician has experimented a lot which made her music sound increasingly orchestral and refined. Ichiko excels in creating subtle and complex arrangements at the same time.

Ichiko's ambitions have continued to grow and the whole world has noticed her. A true rising star in her home country of Japan, she collaborates with artists such as Haruomi Hosono, Cornelius and the late Ryuichi Sakamoto. Her album Windswept Adan made her known to a large international audience. She was noticed by fellow musicians abroad and collaborated with Japanese Breakfast, Mac DeMarco, Owen Pallett, Pomme, Weyes Blood and Black Country New Road.
