Malena Zavala is an Argentinian-born musician, producer, and filmmaker, weaving her life between London and Mexico City. At the age of three, Malena moved to the UK, yet her connection to her Latin roots remained alive through music. Her journey as a self-taught musician began in her parents’ garage, where she wrote, recorded, and produced her debut album, Aliso (2018), fueled by YouTube tutorials and endless cups of Yerba Mate.

Drawing inspiration from the eclectic sounds of Venezuelan-American singer-songwriter and visual artist Devendra Banhart, the dreamy textures of Beach House, and the poetic lyricism of Silvio Rodríguez, Malena’s music is a cosmic blend of her Anglo-Latin upbringing. Her songs are dreamlike and hypnotic, imbued with a profound sense of nostalgia and identity.
