Since their founding in 2017 in a small shed in their hometown, Omar Dahl has created a unique blend of East and West. The Belgian band combines electronic grooves with traditional instruments such as violin, saxophone, and ney (Middle Eastern flute). Influenced by artists like Kerala Dust and Altin Gün, Omar Dahl merges downtempo house with oriental melodies. In 2025, they released Traum, their third EP and first collaboration with the Berlin-based label Laut & Luise. Shaped by percussion and organic rhythms, the EP explores the liminal space between consciousness and dreams.
