How to get to De Roma?

The venue is located at Turnhoutsebaan 286 in 2140 Borgerhout.

It is preferable to come by public transport or by bike! This way you help to limit the nuisance towards our neighbours and it is better for the environment. In addition, all parking spaces in the vicinity of De Roma have to be paid for, from Monday to Saturday, between 9 am and 7 pm.

By bike

If you don't live too far away, we recommend coming to De Roma by bike.

Use our free bicycle parking (max 130 bicycles). This is located 150 m from the entrance of De Roma in the direction of the Singel (car park Modelbouw Baillien, Turnhoutsebaan 340). Our parking is open during concerts and events from 7 pm. It closes one hour after the performance. So don't forget to pick up your bike on time. The bicycle parking will be closed during the event. Please note: our parking is not available during film screenings.

If you don't have a bicycle yourself, you can use one of Antwerp's handy 'Velo' system. A 'Velo' is a public means of transport for short distances. The first half hour of each ride is always free and included in the price of the annual, weekly or daily pass.

There are many 'Velo' stations near De Roma (see map). You will find all the practical information, with an overview of the bike stations and reservation possibilities (annual, daily or weekly subscription) via www.velo-antwerpen.be.

Train with a 40% discount

Antwerp Central Station is 1.6 km from De Roma. To get to De Roma you can take metro 10 in Astrid Station and get off at the first stop Zegel. On Astridplein you can also take tram 24 or a bus to the stop De Roma. From the Central Station to De Roma it takes about 20 minutes on foot.

Antwerp-Berchem Station is 1.8 km away. To get to De Roma you can take bus 30 on platform 21 and get off at the De Roma stop or walk for about 25 minutes.

By tram or bus

On the De Lijn website you can plan the complete trip from your home to De Roma by train, tram and bus.
Trams and buses 24, 30, 40, X41, X42, 416 and 418 all stop right before the door of the De Roma stop.

Trams 8 and 10 stop at the Zegel metro station (less than 100 metres from the door).

By Taxi

If you are coming from the city centre or the train station, you can easily get to De Roma by taxi. You can reach the company Antwerp-Tax via 03 238 38 38 and www.antwerp-tax.be. You can also order a taxi via Whatsapp. With the mobile application Anvers-Tax you can easily order and track a taxi.

By car

ATTENTION: Low Emission Zone! Are you coming to De Roma by car? Then keep in mind that the entire city centre of Antwerp and the Left Bank (Linkeroever) are a Low Emission Zone (LEZ). Polluting vehicles that emit too much soot and particles are no longer allowed into the city. So check whether your vehicle meets the admission requirements with this test.

Vehicles with a foreign registration plate (apart from the Netherlands) that meet the admission requirements must be registered one time. This is free of charge and can be done up to 24 hours after entering the zone. Register you car here.

Parking

Parking in the surrounding streets is almost impossible and causes nuisance in the neighborhood. Also note: parking is paid until 7 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. Moreover, De Roma is located in the city's low-emission zone.

You can park your car easily and free of charge in one of the 9 Park & ​​Rides (P+R) on the outskirts of the city and then take the tram, bus or bicycle. At the P+R you always have a fast public transport connection to get to the city center. You can find all the information here.

  • P+R Linkeroever: tram 3 or 5 to metro stop Astrid*.
  • P+R Wommelgem: tram 8 directly to De Roma (get off at metro stop Zegel)
  • P+R Schoonselhof: tram 10 directly to De Roma (get off at metro stop Zegel)
  • P+R Melsele or P+R Linkeroever (653 places): tram 3 to metro stop Astrid*.
  • P+R Merksem: tram 2 or 3 to metro stop Astrid*.
  • P+R Luchtbal: tram 6 to metro stop Astrid*.
  • P+R Olympiade: tram 6 to metro stop Astrid*.
  • P+R Bosuil: tram 5 to metro stop Astrid*.

* At metro stop Astrid, change to tram 8 or 10 to De Roma (get off at the metro stop Zegel) or change at Astridplein to tram 24 or buses 410, 415, 416, 417, 418, 427, 429 to De Roma (get off at the stop De Roma).

Instead of using public transport: from Astridplein to De Roma it is a 20-minute walk.

  • P2: Unguarded parking 't Centrum (Trix / Carrefour - 60 spaces - note: within the low-emission zone!)
  • P3: Unguarded parking Rivierenhof ('Parking West Rivierenhof' on Google Maps) (100 spaces) and then 3 stops with tram 10 (or bus 410, 411, 412 or 414) towards the center or 15 minutes on foot.
  • P4: Unguarded parking Sint-Fredegandus (55 spaces) at Cogelsplein-Deurne and then 3 stops with tram 10 towards the center or 15 minutes on foot.
