Stephanie Widmer and Alexander Koeck together form the indie rock band Cari Cari. The Austrian-born duo, meanwhile, lived in different European cities such as London, Hamburg and Madrid, where they drew inspiration for their debut album Anaana, released in 2018. Professionals describe them as ‘the love child of The Kills and The xx with the rawness of Cat Power and the cinematic emotion of Ennio Morricone’. 

Since their formation, Cari Cari have constantly created their own world. From music to artwork, videos to set design. This meticulous attention to detail has earned the band a loyal fan base; Rolling Stone Magazine designated them as ‘the biggest discovery of Primavera Sound Festival’, their die-hard fans sold out venues of 1000+ capacity halls across Europe and their debut album was praised by international music journalists from NME, KCRW, Rolling Stone, BBC Radio 1 and many more.
