Congolese iftar

in AMOR

  • i.c.w. Tubakidi

March is upon us again: Ramadan. A time of reflection, togetherness, respect for each other and solidarity. It is an important month for Muslims around the world, but also an opportunity to come together and build bridges between different cultures and religions.

Together with Tubakidi and Kizuri African Cuisine, De Roma invites you to a Congolese iftar at AMOR.

Belgian-Congolese host Don Moussa Pandzou will reflect on the significance of Ramadan for Muslims in the black-African diaspora, also in light of the genocide unfolding before our eyes in Eastern DRCongo. His guests are none other than artist Mahina and Yves Kabwe Kazadi of City Pirates.

Souleymane Bea will recite prayers and the adhan.

The solidarity central to Ramadan can be an inspiration for everyone – whether you are Muslim or not – to stand up for peace, justice and a just future for the Congolese.

Welcome to this evening of reflection and connection. Whether you are fasting or just want to experience the spirit of this Lenten month and express your solidarity with the affected people in DR Congo.
