Thibaut is an internationally renowned conductor who conducts concerts all over the world and lives in luxury. However, his life is turned upside down when he appears to be ill. Suffering from leukemia, he starts looking for a compatible donor for a bone marrow transplant. During his search he discovers that he was adopted and has an older brother, Jimmy, a modest employee in a canteen in the North of France.

At first glance, the two have nothing in common, except their passion for music: his brother Jimmy is a trombonist in a local brass band that is in the process of disbanding. When Thibaut discovers Jimmy's exceptional talent, he makes it his mission to repair the injustice of fate. Jimmy, in turn, begins to dream of a very different life.
Against the backdrop of the closure of the only factory in the town, their meeting marks the beginning of a fraternal, social and musical adventure...
