Takumi and his daughter Hana live in the small village of Mizubiki near Tokyo. Like the generations before them, they lead a modest life in harmony with nature. When it is announced one day that there are plans to build a glamping site near Takumi's house, unrest arises among the residents. The arrival of the glamping will change the peaceful community and surrounding nature forever.

Director Ryûsuke Hamaguchi (Drive My Car) explores man's impact on nature. The ending of the film will remain the subject of heated debate for a long time to come.
