Familiar Touch
Eighty-year-old Ruth, a charming retired chef with a zest for life, occasionally becomes confused. Although her mistakes seem minor and harmless, she is no longer able to live according to her comfortable routine.
When her son rings the doorbell to have dinner with her, she mistakes him for an admirer. Their 'date' takes them to a nursing home, which Ruth does not remember choosing herself. While she learns to reconnect with her own body with the support of the carers, her mind embarks on a journey of its own.

PRESS
"Familiar Touch is not a raw docudrama about the harrowing conditions in nursing homes, but rather a poetic reverie about a woman who slowly slips into the twilight zone of comfortable oblivion." (HUMO)
"Familiar Touch is a beautiful choreography of mental decline." (DE MORGEN)
