Pierre raises his two sons alone. The family of three is very close. Louis, the youngest, is about to leave home to study in Paris. Fus, slightly older, becomes increasingly secretive and joins far-right groups.

With Jouer avec le feu, directors Delphine and Muriel Coulin (also sisters) explore how young people can quickly slip into extremism when they meet the wrong people. To do so, they draw inspiration from their own youth. Their style and approach is reminiscent of that of the Dardenne brothers.
