Kick-off J100 wijkwandelingen

In the run-up to the local elections, for the second time, young people and youth workers from the Youth Collective J100 are organizing a series of neighborhood walks. During these walks through 9 Antwerp neighborhoods, these youth will share their vision of their neighborhood with other young people, policy makers, local residents and organizations, among others.

With this initiative, the J100 youth want to have an impact on the social challenges they face - for example, in the areas of equal opportunities, well-being, education and sports. Through these meetings and conversations, they want to amplify their voice and strenghten their position in Antwerp, and contribute to living together in the city.

On September 10, J100 launches the neighborhood walks with a kick-off in AMOR. Here you will learn more about the concept and the program of the upcoming neighborhood walks. Expect engaging conversations with young people and youth workers about what this project means to them, with a dash of music thrown in.

This event is free, but seating is limited. Register using the link on this page.

The Youth Collective J100 consists of young people between 15 and 30 with diverse backgrounds, coming from different neighborhoods and organizations in Antwerp. The J100 youth are supported by 13 youth organizations: Bazzz, Betonne Jeugd, Fleks, Formaat, JES vzw, Kras jeugdwerk, Moving Ground, ROOTS, SAAMO - project Samen op Straat, Safe Space, Stampmedia, Uit De Marge, and Youth Unity Empowerment.

The J100 neighborhood walks project came about with the support of the European Union, Erasmus+ and JINT. The J100 neighborhood walks are part of a collaboration with Ieders Stem Telt.
