After releasing her solo debut album Nobody Loves You in late 2024, Kim Deal, the iconic bassist of Pixies, is coming to Belgium. On 10 June, she will be at De Roma with a show that showcases her musical versatility: from the melancholic sounds of her older work to the raw energy of her solo project.
Kim Deal is a familiar face in the music world. As a member of the legendary bands Pixies and The Breeders, she has contributed to some of the most influential albums of recent decades. Her work as a songwriter, bassist and singer has touched millions of fans worldwide.
Nobody Loves You More is an intimate reflection of her musical journey. The album includes songs like Are You Mine and Wish I Was, which were written and recorded shortly after Pixies' Lost Cities Tour in 2011.
After moving to Los Angeles, Kim collaborated with musician friends, including former Breeders member Mando Lopez, giving the album a unique blend of sounds and influences. The album was received with enthusiasm in late 2024, by both The Guardian and Rolling Stone, who called it a ‘solo debut worth waiting for’ and promptly gave the album 4 stars.
