After a successful career as a model, Lee Miller goes to work as an intrepid war photographer during World War II. She captures the horrors of war for Vogue magazine: from the soldiers on the front lines to the horrors of concentration camps. In doing so, she shows not only the cruelty of war, but also the resilience of its victims. For this, she pays a high personal price where she faces a trauma from her past.
