Host Wannes Cappelle brings together an impressive list of singers to pay tribute to musical legend Willem Vermandere. Accompanied by the musicians of Het Zesde Metaal, each singer offers a unique, warm and personal interpretation of a song from his rich oeuvre.
After 54 years, musical monument Willem Vermandere bid farewell to the stage. That deserved a grand tribute — and he got it on 11 September in Lauwe, where all 3,000 tickets sold out in less than two hours. But demand continued to grow, and week after week the calls for an encore grew louder.
Host Wannes Cappelle once again gathered the same group of top musicians and singers for a new ode to Willem Vermandere. After sold-out concerts at Capitole Gent and Concertgebouw Brugge, it is now De Roma's turn.
The guest list is once again impressive: Augustijn Vermandere, Flip Kowlier, Frank Vander Linden, Geike Arnaert, Klaas Delrue (Yevgueni), Lennert Coorevits, Lady Linn, Luc Dufourmont, Low G, Maaike Cafmeyer, Michiel Libberecht (Mooneye) and Roos Rebergen (Roosbeef).
