MEROL emerged in 2018 with a breakout pop single and quickly became a prominent figure in Dutch language electronic pop music. Known for her bold and straightforward style, she has built a reputation for addressing contemporary themes with catchy, energetic production, earning attention in both the Netherlands and Belgium.
In 2026, MEROL returns with a new album titled Leve de Feeks, marking a shift toward a more intense and experimental sound. Working with Belgian producer Jeroen De Pessemier, she explores a mix of electropunk, rock, and techno influences, drawing inspiration from artists such as Peaches, Wet Leg, Amyl and the Sniffers, and Björk. The album presents a fresh artistic direction in which she redefines personal themes and embraces a confident, unapologetic voice.
