Meskerem Mees and Carlos Garbin will join their artistic forces for an exclusive concert in which they will play live the groundbreaking album EXIT ABOVE. This album, originally only released on vinyl, was composed together with the late Jean-Marie Aerts for the ROSAS by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker dance performance.

Taking Walkin' Blues as its basis, the album honours the blues as a narrative form and reflects the tradition of 'songs about catastrophes' inspired by events such as the Great Flood of the Mississippi. The music illustrates how we can overcome disasters through music - physically, spiritually and mentally.

Besides EXIT ABOVE, the concert includes a rich mix of other blues repertoires, including beloved blues classics that Carlos Garbin plays effortlessly and that Meskerem Mees enjoys performing. Get carried away on this unique musical journey, a celebration of the blues.
