Naaz is a Kurdish producer, singer, and writer from the Netherlands. Growing up in a refugee family, she found an outlet at a young age in writing songs—many of which now appear as tattoos on her body as symbols of freedom. Self‑taught in writing, composing, and producing, she released her debut project Bits of Naaz from her childhood bedroom and has since toured Europe four times. With her unique blend of English and Kurdish music, she received praise from icons like Elton John and Lana Del Rey.

In 2020, Naaz chose to step away from the music industry. Three years later, she returned with Never Have I Ever, her critically acclaimed debut album that marked both an artistic and personal rebirth. With her first Kurdish alt-pop song Azadi, Naaz also made a powerful statement: the song grew into an activist anthem for women’s rights, especially in the Middle East. Through this, Naaz proved the importance of her outspoken voice in music.
