Orlando
Orlando, Sally Potter's dazzling adaptation of Virginia Woolf's classic novel, tells the story of Orlando, seemingly immortal. An epic quest for love and freedom that Orlando begins as a man and ends 400 years later as a woman. Back in theaters after 30 years, Orlando is still a magical experience.
After leaving the royal court of Elizabeth I, Orlando crosses the frozen Thames. There, he becomes obsessed with a Russian princess. After having been ambassador for the Ottoman Empire and experiencing love and loss in the Victorian era, he/she finds herself - as a mother - in the 20th century.
