Dark synths, pulsating rhythms and, above all, the unique voice of Channy Leaneagh: from the Minneapolis underground scene, POLIÇA continues its inexorable triumphant march through the world of electro-indie pop. At the Roma, the band presents Dreams Go, its latest eight-track album, recorded at Minnesota's legendary Pachyderm Studio.
Since its creation in 2011, POLIÇA has carved out a special place for itself in electronic indie pop. Their sound is hypnotic, intense and complex, but also warm and always balanced.
Dreams Go marks the last recordings with bassist Chris Bierden, who is no longer able to perform live due to serious illness. With a new live line-up and the arrival of sound designer Alex Nutter, the band is reinventing itself. The album has also been enriched by contributions from Swedish techno producer Peder Mannerfelt, who adds an extra layer of tension. Whatever the future holds for POLIÇA, Dreams Go sounds like a poignant and hopeful new chapter in their story. It's a testament to their creative complicity and Chris Bierden's lasting impact on the band's DNA.
