Quand la police tue is the painful account of four families who lost loved ones as a result of police brutality. Their testimonies and their courageous fight for justice show that these are not regrettable individual cases or accidents, but a structural problem of unlawful violence and ethnic profiling.
The screening will be followed by a short statement (in French with translation) by one of the protagonists in the documentary, Jean-Pierre Bangoura, father of Lamine. Then we will have a conversation by moderator Fatima-Zohra Ait El Maâti with the director Cécilia Guypen, Nancy Van Eynde of Moderator vzw, Khalid El Hatri of Young Fenix and Femke Hintjens, cultural worker and former youth worker.
