Journalist and writer William Lee spends his days in Mexico City in the 1950s. Despite the vibrant American community, he spends most of his time alone. However, thanks to his encounter with Eugene Allerton, a former soldier newly arrived in town, William truly blossoms. He is captivated by the elusive young man and is delighted when Eugene agrees to travel with him across South America. During this journey, they seem to become one. But life cannot be controlled.

Based on the novel by William S. Burroughs (The Naked Lunch).
