Robin Kester delivers a unique sound with her debut album Honeycomb Shades: a singular blend of pop, electronic and psychedelic music full of dark, hypnotic tension. The Dutch artist, songwriter and producer has steadily conquered a vast national and international audience, attracting widespread attention through airplay broadcasts on stations such as BBC Radio 6 Music, FIP, KCRW and KEXP.

Live, her band injects the songs with a spontaneous live energy and performs at showcase festivals such as SXSW and ESNS, plays in support programs from Villagers to MUSE and appears on the posters of festivals such as Crossing Border, Motel Mozaique, Valkhof and Pinkpop. Spotify EQUAL even projected her effigy in gigantic format on Times Square in New York.

Her first album Honeycomb Shades (2023) was received with great praise by the Dutch press. The album was nominated for the 3VOOR12 Award for Best Dutch Album. The album appeared in countless end-of-year lists and was awarded the title of best Dutch album of 2023 by both De Volkskrant and NRC.
