Bram Vanparys returns as his musical alter ego The Bony King of Nowhere. More than five years have passed between his previous album Silent Days (2018) and the brand new Everybody Knows (2024). A writer's block for almost two years made him seriously doubt whether he still had anything to say as a writer and musician. It was a difficult period in the career of the artist who refuses to repeat himself. The urge to reinvent himself after the success of Silent Days was greater than ever, but the road to a new sound was long and sometimes grueling.

The Bony King of Nowhere finally broke the deadlock, resulting in Everybody Knows, his sixth album. Musically, Everybody Knows deals with the break with the past, which Silent Days also did. Some songs are now composed on piano rather than guitar, far from the familiar finger playing. 

After a first recording session with Koen Gisen, Vanparys stayed at home to finish the whole to his satisfaction. Everybody Knows thus became a return to a creative approach of classics, with colorful arrangements and coincidences and "happy accidents" of his beginnings. Curious to see and hear the result?
