The Bygones is an American indie folk duo consisting of Allison Young and Joshua Lee Turner. Their music brings a fusion of genres such as traditional jazz, 70's singer-songwriter, classic country and bossa nova into a unique sounding whole. Josh's classical guitar background and ear for vocal harmony provide the inspiration for Allison's powerful songwriting and nostalgic voice, to deliver arrangements that sound both complex and accessible, classic and fresh.

The pair share a fascination for nostalgic songs - jazz, classical, musicals from the Golden Age, big bands from the '40s and singer-songwriters from the '60s - and a passion for instrumental music and covers. This musical connection started online and later culminated in a recording session in Nashville. In April 2024 they released their untitled debut album and will make the big crossing over the ocean later this fall for a tour in Europe, including a stop in Antwerp!
