The New Year That Never Came
The New Year That Never Came
Romania, 20 December 1989. Rebellion and hope exist alongside oppression and fear. While large-scale protests take place in the streets, coverage of these events remains scarce. Instead, the tyrannical president Ceaușescu is shamelessly glorified in propagandistic New Year's Eve shows.
In the excitement of the protest, the lives of six individuals will intersect over the course of a day like no other until the fall of Ceausescu and his regime.
