Who is the Amazigh woman, and what inspires her? With Tiwiza: De kracht van de Amazigh vrouw we reflect on how colonization and migration caused a rupture in Amazigh knowledge systems. We celebrate knowledge that still exists and survives in new ways through the presence and diligence of the Amazigh woman. We pass on centuries-old healing practices that had almost been forgotten.

How can Tamazight, the Amazigh language, be a path to freedom in her everyday conversations, stories and songs?  What is the significance of the centuries-old yet contemporary (life) rituals within the diaspora? 

In the panel discussion, visual artist Farida El Kaddouri, researcher Lina Ejdaa and journalist Kaoutar El Afi will discuss how they decolonise Amazigh knowledge and translate it into their own context through art, research and journalism. Fatima-Zohra Ait El Maâti will host the evening and moderate the discussion. 

Kawtar Ouh takes us into the world of her visual language, where she explores her identity by delving into her family archives and engaging in conversations with objects from her late grandmother’s collection. 

To conclude, Wahiba Yachou, together with her grandmother Aouicha El Khiati, present a live edition of Taksera with Hena. Taksera with Hena is a podcast and YouTube series in which daily rituals, family stories and cultural codes evolve into powerful online narratives. Each episode focuses on a central theme, ranging from identity and generational differences to love, culture and everyday life.
