The film is enhanced by the beautiful music of Dez Mona who will also play live for us in the foyer after the film (standing concert).

Anne is 33 and dreams of living underwater as a mermaid. She has ASD and a visual impairment. Underwater, she is free and happy, removed from the hustle and bustle and noise of everyday life. Above water, however, it is not as simple for her to live independently. Slowly, she builds her life anyway, together with her boyfriend - who looks suspiciously a lot like Prince Erik in The Little Mermaid (Disney movie 1989).

For more than three years, director Guido Verelst filmed his niece Anne, who kept a video diary herself.
