Buffalo Tom
It's been 38 years since Bill Janovitz (vocals, guitar), Chris Colbourn (bass, vocals) and Tom Maginnis (drums) formed Buffalo Tom in the fall of 1986 in Northampton, Massachusetts. With their introspective lyrics, beautiful harmonies and powerful live performances, they built a solid fan base in no time and secured their place forever in the annals of alternative rock history.
From the start, it was clear that Buffalo Tom drew inspiration from his admiration for classic bands such as The Replacements, The Gun Club, Bob Dylan, Echo & the Bunnymen, Van Morrison and The Rolling Stones. The first album Buffalo Tom (1988) was an immediate success and opened the doors to Europe. The follow-up album Birdbrain (1990) was also very positively acclaimed, but it was not until their third album Let Me Come Over in 1992 that the band achieved widespread popularity worldwide. Buffalo Tom scored two big hits with Velvet Roof and the immortal Taillights Fade. Numerous tours followed in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
This year Buffalo Tom released his tenth full-length album Jump Rope. Also in live, the three college friends proved that they haven't lost any of their strength since the early days. On the contrary, the trio has become an impressive rock band that cannot be ignored. At De Roma, the American musicians will present their new album and bring a large set of their greatest hits.
