Carminho

Carminho is a Breathtaking Portuguese singer and the star of a new generation of fadistas. Daughter of singer Teresa Siqueira, Carminho she grew up in Lisbon with the voices and guitars so typical of fado. As a solo artist and songwriter, however, she manages to breathe new life into the fado tradition and finds audiences far beyond the stages of her native country.

After a duet with Pedro Alborán, Carminho is the first Portuguese artist to reach the first place on the charts in Spain. Her collaboration with Brazilian artists such as Marisa Monte and Caetano Veloso took her across the ocean, where she performed sold-out concerts in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Her affection for Brazil is clearly evident in her songs often inspired by bossa nova rhythms. Carminho even conquers Hollywood in 2024, where she shines in a scene with Emma Stone in the Oscar-nominated film Poor Things.

In 2019 and 2023 Carminho presented her two previous albums, Maria and Portuguesa, at De Roma. During these two wonderful musical evenings, Carminho masterfully demonstrated how authentic and heartbreaking fado merges with her joyful and contemporary songs. With her melodious and multifaceted voice, she convinces even more live than on record. During her concerts one feels both profound admiration for the Portuguese language as well as an abundance of emotions. We are eagerly looking forward to her return in 2025 at De Roma with a concert that once again promises to be unique and unforgettable.
