US gives a wonderful insight into the day-to-day lives of two unique Homo Sapiens Idioticus. Partners in Crime who like to seek out danger, preferably with knives, lots of knives.... Their natural habitat is a small, unsafe universe where anything could topple down at any moment. An unhealthy mix of knife-throwing, a rebellious computer and lots of dubious ideas. 

US is a production by Company Midnight, a collaboration between acrobat Joris Verbeeren and juggler Simone Scaini. Together, they delved into the world of knife-throwing and explored all the possibilities of this traditional circus technique. They stay away from the classic image of the knife thrower and his assistant, but they keep seeking danger and the excitement we all love so much.

US is a high-tech show that brings together different disciplines: from knife-throwing to slapstick and magic to Japanese cooking. The third role is embodied by the structure of 100 suspended objects, which can fall down any time, all controlled by a computer and a single button. Joris and Simone developed their own system and software for the show. All theatrical effects are fully monitored by the actors on stage.
