ELDERS

The band of Tom Pintens and Laurence Roothooft

November 14, Tom Pintens' 50th birthday, will be a special day. Because on this day, the release show of the first album of ELDERS, the electronic project on which Tom Pintens worked with great passion until his death, together with his beloved Laurence Roothooft, will take place in De Roma.

In collaboration with the band Het Zesde Metaal Tom was able to complete their latest record Het Langste Jaar. ELDERS' first record should have been his next project. The band ELDERS was born three years ago, when Tom and Laurence felt the need to create a completely new sound. Their goal was to find a way to combine the melancholic melodies that inhabited his heart with electronic dancing music in a world full of glitter where their two souls could come together.

After Tom's death, Laurence continued the path she had taken with Tom and completed the album with Jasper Segers, producer and guitarist for Sylvie Kreusch, with whom Tom also played. Leaves is the first single, a dark and mysterious song, hypnotic but with a lot of rhythm. For some, Leaves is reminiscent of Kavinsky's Nightcall, for others it reminds them of The XX, Beach House and Caroline Polachek.

During the show at De Roma, to mark the release of the album, Laurence be on stage accompanied by Simon Nuytten from Bazart on guitar and Bent van Looy on drums. The unique harmony between Tom and Laurence will be reproduced by one or more voices that Tom and Laurence loved most.
