Lézard

With a dazzling mix of post-punk, disco, glam rock, new wave and electroclash, Lézard positions itself on that fault line between comedy and tragedy – songs that unfold like a comedic theatre piece and the cacophony behind the scenes. 

The hysterical chemistry between Neil Claes and Myrthe Asta spreads everywhere and creates a brand-new dance that they themselves don’t even know the name of. The backbone of Lézard’s witty funk‑punk consists of Andreas Duchi (bass) and Roel Delplancke (drums). And finally, Viktor De Greef, equipped with an arsenal of wriggling synthesizers that threaten to derail the game plan at any moment. 

Their debut album Que Se Passe‑t‑il is a diorama in which heartbreakers, voyeurs, escapists and dreamers blend together beneath a shattered disco ball. Lézard desperately points the camera at itself: what on earth is going on with this big blue rock?
