Born in Iceland from an Icelandic mother and an Italian father, Emiliana Torrini began singing as a soprano in a choir at the age of seven. A few years later, she enrolled in an opera school. Her beautiful voice and sense of rhythm didn't go unnoticed. She moved to London and sang on GusGus' debut album and co-wrote songs for Kylie Minogue's 2003 album Body Language. The general public got to know her thanks to her 2009 world hit Jungle Drum, a gem of a song reminiscent of Nancy Sinatra's heyday. For innumerable weeks Jungle Drum was No. 1 in many European music charts.

During her rich career, Emiliana Torrini released several solo albums and for many years she has intensively cooperated with The Colorist Orchestra, who accompanied her during her sold-out concert at De Roma in 2023. She will be back in 2024 with her new album Miss Flower, her first solo album in ten years. The album tells the story of the search that Emiliana and her good friend Zoë undertook to uncover the secret life of a remarkable woman: Geraldine Flower. Miss Flower is a stunning musical representation of a woman's life, performed by one of the most innovative and revolutionary artists of our time.
