Almost silently, Fixkes has become a name that sounds very familiar. After their huge hit kvraagetaan, back in 2007 (never had a song been N° 1 in the Belgian charts for such a long time) it became a lot quieter around the Antwerp band. However Fixkes kept busy. They kept working on lyrics and songs, swapped the fragile for a rough guitar solo or a dash of hip-hop. Little by little they got better and better. 

Their lyrics deal with the little things in life, described with great wit and irony. Check them out: Dardennen, Neukvriendje, Koriander van den Turk, Nooit niks, Goochelmonnetje, Ongelukkig, Buitenmens, Lievelingsdier... 

 ‘I didn't know you guys had so many good songs’ must be just about the most common compliment heard after a Fixkes performance.

After 4 albums, Fixkes toured theatres in 2024 with their request tour Ask Fixkes! during which the band played requests from the audience. They invited music lovers to play on stage (A mayor with a cello, a rapping undertaker and even a choir of 90 people!) That's how the idea of ​​putting together an album of arrangements was born. Existing songs renewed à la Fixkes: a variety of songs ranging from rather obscure (nattigheid, doosje, klungel van de jungle) to the ultimate Eurovision song of all Eurovision songs Jennifer Jennings! (sorry Sandra Kim, sorry Joost Klein).

The album DANNY & DANNY (via Excelsior Recordings) will be released on 31 January 2025.
