Charles Aznavour, one of the world's greatest entertainers with a record of more than 1200 chansons, cannot be left out of music history. On May 22, 2024, he would have turned 100 years old. This commemoration is the occasion for Frank Mercelis and the VRT Bigband to unite for a great show.

For Frank Mercelis, this project is a personal dream. Aznavour's music is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for his own band Eddy et les Vedettes. With his experience in numerous concerts and performances, he is the ideal person for this project.

For more than a decade, the VRT Bigband has excelled in its versatility and enthusiasm for discovering new repertoires. Under the expert direction of conductor Dree Peremans, they are familiarized with various genres like swing, bebop, contemporary musical arrangements, and now ... chansons as well.
