De Roma breekt uit! Due to the installation of a new parquet floor, our venue will not reopen until Friday, September 26. Therefore, we are temporarily organising a series of surprising concerts and other activities on location in Troubleyn: Pastorijstraat 23, 2060 Antwerp.

At a time when musical projects are increasingly individual, Glitter Horse swears by the strength of the group. Glitter Horse is the band of Philip Bosschaerts (Mintzkov), Johan Verckist (Wardrobe), Damien Vanderhasselt (Millionaire), Sarah Pepels (Portland) and Frederik Bastiaensen (Marble Sounds). They paid tribute to Mark Linkous, the man behind Sparklehorse, in 2016, and released their self-titled debut album in 2022.

With a whole host of new ideas, Glitter Horse plunged back into Hoboken's Studio Swamp shortly afterwards. But on a personal level, the band members were going through a difficult period. With weekly recording sessions on Thursdays, they found a method of quietly trying things out, leaving some aside and refining them. In this way, the Thursday work process became a form of therapy and a means of escaping from the big and small worries of everyday life. Production was once again entrusted to the band themselves, with drummer Damien Vanderhasselt behind the controls. Jerboa Mastering took care of the finishing touches. Thursday's songs can be considered Bosschaerts and Verckist's most personal. Musically, the band have once again sought depth and created their own world with many layers that don't reveal themselves on first listen.

The album also showcases Glitter Horse's versatility: from the disarming honesty of Lost In Your Gold to the raw groove of Mythomania, and from the introspection of Quiet Boys to the bouncy, flashy rock of Black Page's Velvets. At the end of the instrumental Days of Jupiter, you can hear the sample: "We are at a pivotal moment in history". For Glitter Horse, Thursday is that moment.
