A little white stray dog lives in a Thai coastal town, surviving on scraps of rice and the attention of passers-by. Until a retired Japanese engineer takes the dog in and, for the first time, gives him a name and a temporary home. In turn, the adorable Gohan gives the retired engineer a new purpose in life. When the man has to return to Japan, a new chapter begins in Gohan’s life. At the animal shelter where he ends up, he meets a young refugee from Myanmar who, just like Gohan, dreams of a home.

Three different directors each created a separate chapter in this heart-warming Thai feel-good film. Just like the film How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies (by the same makers!), this film manages to turn a modest, moving subject into a gripping story about connection. The stray dog playing the elderly Gohan was found by director Baz Poonpiriya at a market in northern Thailand and inspired this heart-warming film, which became one of the biggest hits in Thai cinema history.
