A hen escapes from a chicken farm and, after a long journey, finds shelter in the courtyard of a run-down restaurant. There, she discovers love, rebels against the pecking order and fights to protect her eggs from a greedy owner. Whilst preparing for motherhood and discovering other aspects of life, she observes the quiet struggles of human existence around her.

The lead role of the hen is played by eight real Hungarian hens: Eszti, Szandi, Feri, Enci, Eti, Enikő, Nóra and Anett. Together, they elevate this seemingly small fable into a story with universal and socially critical resonance. At times funny, at times bleak, but unforgettable for 90 minutes.
