For fans of: DJ Shadow, DJ KRUSH, St. Germain

Every once in a while an album comes out that seems to perfectly capture the mood and zeitgeist of the moment. The K&D Sessions was one of those. In the late 1990s, no afterparty or laid-back sunday afternoon was complete without Kruder & Dorfmeister popping out of the Bang & Olufsen. As the 25th anniversary approaches, the iconic nature of this release shrouded in a silver cloud of smoke is once again apparent.

As time passes, the star of The K&D Sessions shines brighter and brighter. The original has now sold more than a million copies. To celebrate the anniversary, a limited number of a box with 6LP and 3CD versions, was remastered by LA great Bernie Grundman. The box includes the legendary, 11-minute remix of Madonna's Nothing Really Matters and the impressive Powercut Mix of Roni Size's Heroes.

The importance of the Austrian duo's album cannot be underestimated. It was one of the first times remixes caused more fuss than the original songs themselves. ‘We never used anything from the original tracks outside the vocals,’ Peter Kruder himself says of it. ‘That's also why we feel this record is more our record than a remix album. The K&D Sessions was pretty monumental. It was a period when remixers were more revered than the original artists whose work they were messing with.’

With a unique live set, Kruder & Dorfmeister will also pay a fitting tribute to their legendary album at De Roma.
