La Grazia centres on the fictional president Mariano De Santis, whose term in office is drawing to a close. He has been nicknamed ‘Cemento armato’ (reinforced concrete) due to his unyielding character and overly cautious approach to politics. 
He has become a lonely figure in the echoing halls of the presidential palace, where he mourns the loss of his wife and listens to hip-hop. Before returning to civilian life, De Santis must make a series of daring decisions that will cement his legacy.
