Brothers Horst and Franz meet again after a long time apart. Horst is living in a care home and suffers from Alzheimer’s; Franz is in desperate need of money and is hoping to inherit his older brother’s estate. Andrea, Horst’s great childhood love, also suddenly appears on the scene, determined to make up for lost time with Horst. This unleashes old passions and a rivalry between the two brothers that dates all the way back to a long-gone ‘Sunday the ninth’.
