American singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham will be presenting her latest album, Ace, at De Roma. On that beautiful record with her lush melodies, she sketches a frank and intimate landscape full of emotion. After her award-winning Revealer, the American folk star returns with an album that reveals her deepest feelings: from heartbreak to the rediscovery of love.
Madison Cunningham began singing and playing guitar at the age of seven, inspired by her father and grandmother. Her musical roots are in church, where she performed with her four sisters. She later broke through solo with her unique blend of Americana, folk-pop and folk-rock. Think a cross between Joni Mitchell, Jeff Buckley, Fiona Apple and Radiohead.
Her breakthrough album Who Are You Now (2019) was nominated for a GRAMMY in the Best Americana Album category. Three years later, she also effectively won that GRAMMY with Revealer (2022), in the Best Folk Album category.
With Ace, she releases her fourth album. Together with top producer Robbie Lackritz (Feist, Bahamas), she built an intimate and powerful sound, in which the piano shines and each song feels like a chapter from a poetic diary. First single My Full Name has already been praised to the skies, and that's just the beginning. Because Ace is no ordinary album. It is a journey. A story. An experience. Don't miss this unique evening.
