Spreken is Goud of De Roma welcomes the Mental Health EXPO by Young FENIX once again. This fifth edition focuses on living (and surviving) with social media.
We live in a world that is always ‘on’. Every day, news, opinions and images reach us via social media. Sometimes connecting, sometimes overwhelming. This leaves no one untouched.
Social media connect, inspire and inform, but also raise questions about identity, mental health and personal connection.
During the Mental Health EXPO, we will reflect on what social media do to our young people, individually and collectively, and make space for recognition and nuance.
The host of the evening is none other than Elisabeth Lucie Baeten. She will be talking to spoken word artist and online creator Soukaïna Bennani, known for Gij weet on VRT MAX, with communications specialist Hamza Ouamari, author of Inclusieve marketing. Een no-bullshit gids (2025), and with Karim Bachar, alderman for Youth of the City of Antwerp.
The evening is not only about listening, but also about feeling. Let yourself be carried away by honest slam poetry and experience the power of storytelling. Up-and-coming Antwerp talent B!NO will close the programme with his heartfelt hip hop.
