Mouna Maan

Muzikale vertelling voor kinderen

Mouna Maan lives in a flat in the heart of the city. With Grandma Paloma, who thinks she is a pigeon, and her cat Miss Sipi. One day, Miss Sipi has disappeared. Mouna Maan holds her shoe upside down. Just enough courage falls out of her shoe for her to believe everything will be all right. Do her neighbours know where Miss Sipi is?

As part of Jeugdboekenmaand, Margot De Ley reads from her children's book Mouna Maan. She complements this reading with songs on piano, specially written for this story, and also presents the beautiful illustrations by Ruth De Jaeger.

Come and listen to this funny and heartwarming musical tale for children (6-11 yr) and their parents!

In line with the theme ‘time’ of Jeugdboekenmaand, Margot concludes her performance with an exclusive reading of some excerpts from her new book Cassius, koning van de tijd, due out in 2025.

Cassius is a real time tamer! His parents work very hard and have no time. Cassius goes looking for time for them and does so in very unexpected ways....

Margot De Ley made her debut in 2024 with her first children's book Mouna Maan. She is also a theatre maker, pianist and singer. After classical music training at the conservatories of Antwerp and Maastricht, she focused more on theatre, often in combination with music, first with her own company Brulschaap and later with performances for, among others, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and the children's theatre company 4Hoog.
