Neeka and The Nuance
For fans of: Stef Kamil Carlens, Dez Mona, An Pierlé
Neeka is reinventing herself. After several years mainly performing live in a variety of projects, she continued writing new music in the meantime. During the COVID period that process reached its limits, but as soon as making music together was possible again, she brought together a new band. With a group of young, driven musicians, she rehearses weekly at the Jazzstudio under the name The Monday Night Music Club. This collaboration quickly resulted in new work, with the first outcome being Life Takes Over — a return to English.
Neeka’s new songs take shape in a close-knit band formation with Maarten Schelkens (drums), Toon Van Volsem (piano), and Zeno Vandaele (bass). The recordings took place at Rockstar Recordings, under the guidance of producer Staf Verbeeck. In March 2026, the first single Poetry Was Rock and Roll Then was released. The album will follow in September.
