Gilles Vandecaveye-Pinoy and Cesar De Sutter-Pinoy have been making music together since they were children. Their music sounds ominous and catastrophic, but just as well warm and catchy. They test and search their sound in a relax and playful way, that strikingly emphasizes the uniqueness of their music.
Their first album Forevergem (2020, Gong Ear) received very good reviews: “an innovative and very authentic sound” (Luminous Dash). That same year, Peenoise was one of the Sound Track winners and proved to be the most innovating and promising Belgian band of the moment. Headwalking (EP, 2021) and Rooms to Dark Boats in the Night and Views in the Light (LP, 2022) were recorded in their own Forevergem studio.
This year (2024) Straight Lines Strange People (Forevergem Records) will be released. The album could be the soundtrack of a futuristic-baroque movie, which doesn't exist yet. Peenoise worked on this record for three years, in dark forests, green fields and on snow-capped mountains. Little by little, they began to build their own musical landscape in which they make humor, darkness and surrealism coexist. A place where imagination can thrive and flourish.
