This is the first-ever screening of Rachid in Antwerp! The short film Rachid tells the story of a 21-year-old enthusiastic young man of Moroccan descent. With a clear goal in mind—to find a job—he confidently applies for a position as a dishwasher in a restaurant. It seems like an easy job that anyone could do, but Rachid soon discovers that the path to employment is not as easy as he had hoped.
The screening will be followed by an interesting debate featuring Ayoub Sadik, along with various professionals from the film industry. This offers the audience a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the themes addressed in the film, the creative choices of the directors and the wider impact of the story.
